Changes to how nicotine is displayed

We are implementing a change in how nicotine strengths are displayed on our upcoming e-liquid product lines. This change will eventually be rolled out to all lines, but there is currently no rush to the finish line as these changes will be gradual as production moves.

Nicotine strengths will be shown in their freebase nicotine equivalent rather than the nicotine salt strength we have previously used. However, do not worry, you can you still view the back of the bottle to view the salt strength. We will have both freebase nicotine and salt nicotine strengths in the ingredients list found on the back of the bottle.

  • No Change to Product Formulation: This change only affects how nicotine strength is displayed; we are not moving away from nicotine salts.
  • Gradual Rollout: This adjustment starts with the Vorteke Maxx line and will gradually extend to other product lines in the future.

Why the Change?

This update is driven by regulatory requirements where displaying nicotine strength in freebase equivalents is mandatory. While we have the freebase nicotine equivalent on the back of our bottles to date, this has created some confusion for many of you. Additionally, other companys are slowly adopting this labeling standard. We are ensuring our products remain compliant, competitive and that consumers are not confused when comparing products across brands.

While the product formulation remains unchanged, the font of the label will now reflect nicotine strength in terms of its freebase nicotine equivalent. For example, a product previously labeled as 20 mg/mL nicotine salt will now display a lower freebase equivalent strength (12mg/mL in our case).
